Recipe: Stuffed Mushrooms
This is a fun recipe that can be a healthy appetizer, side dish, main dish, or need to bring something over to friends or relatives kind of dish. This is simple, easy to make, shareable, and customizable, you just need to like mushrooms!
Time: 40 mins
Ingredients:
Portabella whole mushroom
Chop spinach
Block of cream cheese (soften)
Garlic
Shallot (optional)
shredded mozzarella cheese
Seasonings-
Salt pepper
Garlic seasoning
Hot sauce (optional)
Not much to this ingredient which is what I love most about this recipe. You can add or take out whatever you desire because it’s so customizable.
- You’ll need to start by cutting the steps out of the mushroom. If you love mushrooms as much as me, push those stems to the side because you’ll put them back into the filling later.
- Make sure your cream cheese is softened, it’ll be a lot easier to mix the ingredients together that way. I use about 1 of the 8 oz block of cream cheese. You can add that to a mixing bowl.
- Roughly chop your spinach, spinach is one of my favorite leafy greens, so I measure with my heart. Add that to the mixing bowl with the cream cheese.
- 2 TBSP of diced garlic, I use pre-diced Garlic but add use fresh garlic as well, and if you like more or less Garlic add till your heart desires. Add that to the mixing bowl.
- Dice one shallot, I like that Onion flavor, but it’s not needed if you don’t prefer the taste or texture. Add that to the mixing bowl.
- Add in your seasonings salt and pepper to taste.
- 1 TBSP Garlic Seasoning
- Hot sauce to taste (optional)
- Dice up the stems that you moved aside and add that to the mixing bowl. (optional)
- Mix until well combined. Then once mixed you’re going to take a spoon and scoop a spoon full into the mushrooms until they’re filled then line them up on a baking sheet, don’t forget to oil the pan!
- Once all mushrooms are filled you can top them off with shredded mozzarella cheese for a nice creamy crust on top. I like to dip the filled mushrooms into a bowl of shredded mozzarella cheese for. better coverage
- Then at 350 degrees F, the. Stuffed mushrooms should be piping hot and ready to serve in about 20-25 minutes! Enjoy!
